DeHeng Assisted Huafa Group in Issuing the World’s First Publicly Offered Corporate Digital Bond

In December 2024, Zhuhai Huafa Group Co., Ltd. issued RMB 1.4 billion in digital bonds through its overseas subsidiary, Huafa 2024 I Company Limited, with a coupon rate of 4.5%. This was the first digital bond issued by a Chinese non-financial enterprise and the world’s first publicly offered corporate digital bond.  

As the PRC legal advisor for Huafa Group in this issuance, the DeHeng team, with primary support from Hou Zhiwei, Zhang Yan, Hu Xueyuan, Liu Di, and Wang Hetong, assisted Huafa Group in completing the issuance.
