DeHeng Assisted One of the First Financial Enterprises with Full Business Scenarios in China in Passing the Security Assessment for Cross-Border Data Transfer

In response to the Chinese government’s compliance requirements for data export, DeHeng partnered up with Beijing Shufeng Technology Co., Ltd. to assist the Chinese subsidiary of a Fortune Global 500 multinational corporation in completing the self-assessment of all data export scenarios, which has recently passed the security assessment of the Cyberspace Administration of China, making it one of the first financial enterprises with all business scenarios in China to pass the data export security assessment.

As the legal counsel of the project, the DeHeng team was led by partner Wang Yinan of Beijing Office, with primary support from Wan Qianhui and Zhou Wang. They provided legal assistance to the client, including sorting out various scenarios of data export, preparing self-assessment reports, declaration forms, and supporting materials, establishing mechanisms for the protection of the rights and interests of personal information subjects, and revising legal documents for cross-border data transmission to meet the compliance requirements. The project involved special data export scenarios, complex links, and many entities. With their deep understanding of relevant regulations and data security and rich experience, the DeHeng team overcame relevant difficulties, explored the methods and paths for secure and compliant cross-border data transmission, and provided professional solutions for the client.
