Maria Leung was admitted as a solicitor of the High Court of Hong Kong in 1992. She graduated from The University of Hong Kong and was conferred Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) in 1989 and Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (PCLL) in 1990. Maria possesses over 30 years of experience in conveyancing, tenancy, and non-contentious probate works. She was the head of conveyancing department in a local boutique firm before joining Deheng. She is proficient in Cantonese and English.
Representative Matters
- Acting for corporate and individual clients in general conveyancing matters including sales and purchases in secondary market, mortgages, leases and lettings of residential and commercial real estate involving government and private buildings
- Assisting various major developers including Cheung Kong, Henderson, Sun Hung Kei and Hang Lung Groups in first hand sale, commercial leases and lettings of development projects
- Acting for private developers in small house development projects in the New Territories
- Advising various listed companies on property issues in preparation for Initial Public Offering, and Merger and Acquisition
- Acting for incorporated owners and management companies of various buildings in acquisition of real estate and advising on obligations and duties under deed of mutual covenants and management agreements
- Acting for liquidators and receivers in management and disposition of mortgaged properties
- Acting for charitable and non-governmental organisations and giving legal advice in general matters
- Advising on wills and non-contentious probate matters
