Ms. Wang previously served as the China Representative of a government trade and investment agency of a Latin American country and spent for manyseveral years at the Greater China headquarters of a leading global testing, inspection and certification group. She has more than 15 years of professional experience in international trade, overseas investment and supply chain compliance, with professional fluency in both English and Spanish.
(Since becoming a practicing attorney,) Ms. Wang’s practice is focused on advising Chinese state-owned enterprises, centrally administered state-owned enterprises, and leading private companies on their investments and operations across key Latin American markets, including Mexico and Brazil. - Cross-Border Investment
- Provided legal counsel to a Hong Kong-listed company on the acquisition of a lithium brine project in Argentina, including due diligence, transaction structuring, drafting and negotiation of transaction documents, and qualified foreign investor registration.
- Provided legal counsel on the establishment of an Argentine subsidiary for a leading Chinese mining group in the non-ferrous metal industry, established to develop and operate lithium mining projects in Argentina.
- Advised a Taiwan-based global leader in surface-mount technology (SMT) production solutions for LCD panels on the establishment its Mexican subsidiary, including advising on the choice of legal entity, designing the incorporation process, assisting with the notarization and apostille of relevant documents, and handling the company’s registration in Mexico.
- Advised a leading Chinese state-owned enterprise in the marine electrical equipment manufacturing sector on the export of equipment to an Ecuadorian power company, providing cross-border legal services including legal research on Ecuador’s regulatory framework, due diligence, and contract review and negotiation.
- Advised a Ningbo-based A-share automotive components R&D and manufacturing company on its investment in Mexico, providing expedited legal services in connection with the acquisition of land for a new manufacturing facility, including due diligence, transaction document review, and assistance with the relevant registration changes.
- Advised a Chinese central state-owned enterprise group in the telecommunications sector on the compliant wind-down of overseas subsidiaries. Developed a strategy for the liquidation and closure of its Brazilian subsidiary, assisted in selecting and engaging local counsel and accounting firms, and coordinated the subsidiary’s deregistration and closure process from start to finish. Also conducted a review of the ongoing status and tax position of its Angolan subsidiary, including outstanding taxes, penalties, and potential legal liabilities of its responsible officer, and coordinated with local counsel to prepare a tax investigation report and legal opinion.
- Served as 2026 overseas legal counsel to a leading A-share listed company in the agricultural and animal feed industry, providing comprehensive cross-border legal services across more than 20 countries.
- Provided ongoing legal counsel to an overseas engineering subsidiary of a leading Chinese state-owned listed group in the petroleum industry, providing legal services across Latin America, including Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina.
- Cross-Border Dispute Resolution
- Advised a large Chinese state-owned enterprise in the petroleum engineering sector on a tax audit and substantial penalty dispute with Mexico’s Tax Administration Service (SAT), , as well as litigation involving its Mexican subsidiary and the freezing of its bank accounts. Assisted with case assessment, developed legal strategies and coordinated the overall handling of the matters.
- Advised a leading Chinese state-owned listed company in the telecommunications and electronic equipment manufacturing sector on a series of administrative, amparo and civil proceedings arising from a procurement contract dispute between its Mexican subsidiary and Mexican government authorities. Assisted with client communications and evaluated litigation strategies proposed by local counsel, and coordinated the proceedings to ensure their efficient and effective progress.
- Advised a Chinese listed manufacturer of polymer composite materials in connection with an anti-dumping investigation into its products in Mexico. Identified and engaged legal local counsel, coordinated the notarization and translation of engagement documents, assisted with the preparation of submissions and defense strategy, obtained an extension for the client, and provided comprehensive support throughout the investigation proceedings.
- Provided cross-border legal services to a leading Chinese telecommunications company in connection with a multi-million-dollar international trade receivables dispute with its Brazilian distributor. Assisted in selecting and engaging Brazilian local counsel and jointly developed a comprehensive debt recovery strategy covering asset investigations, negotiations, expedited proceedings, interim measures, litigation and enforcement, while coordinating the case throughout the entire process.
- Advised a leading Chinese automotive company on the cross-border recovery of trade receivables in a dispute with its Algerian distributor, involving principal and interest exceeding RMB 100 million. Together with local counsel, developed a comprehensive recovery strategy covering asset investigations, negotiations, litigation, interim measures and enforcement, and coordinated the matter throughout the entire process in Algeria.
- Represented a well-known German engineering company in proceedings before Chinese courts for the recognition and enforcement of an arbitral award issued by the Arbitration Institute of Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC), which the company had successfully obtainedagainst a mainland Chinese engineering company.
