and His Entourage Inspected,Chengdu Mediation Room of the
International Commercial Mediation Center for the Belt and Road Initiative

On March 5, Liu Xin, the Director of Sichuan Provincial Department of Commerce and the executive deputy director of the Provincial Free Trade Office, led a team to conduct research on the work of Chengdu Mediation Room of the International Commercial Mediation Center for the Belt and Road Initiative at Shuangliu Free Trade Pilot Zone.

Since September 2017, Beijing RETIO Legal and Commercial Service Center for Belt and Road Initiative and Shuangliu Free Trade Pilot Zone jointly established a platform for diversified dispute resolution mechanism, ten lawyers from DeHeng's Chengdu office have been invited to serve as mediators of Chengdu Mediation Room of the International Commercial Mediation Center for the Belt and Road Initiative. By actively exploring innovative and diversified dispute resolution measures, mediators provided research and demonstration service and legal advice for the free trade pilot zone in the introduction of policies, and provided targeted and practical legal advice for enterprises in terms of international trade and so on. During the period, lawyers of the Chengdu office cooperated with Chengdu Shuangliu District People's Court and participated in the successful mediation of two commercial cases total amount in dispute reaching 50 million yuan.

Director Liu Xin affirmed the work of Chengdu Mediation Room of the International Commercial Mediation Center for the Belt and Road Initiative. Lawyers of DeHeng Chengdu office also expressed that they would continue to cooperate with the Mediation Center in the mediation efforts and upgrade the level of rule of law.
