On August 2nd, 2012, the donation ceremony of Mother Parcel was held in Beijing Lawyers Association. Atty. Ma Hui and Shan Dan attended on behalf of DeHeng Law Offices.
Mother Parcel Project was hosted by All China Women’s Federation, and undertaken by Chinese Women’s Development Foundation. The main task of the project was to help impoverished mothers in China whose income is below national poverty line, especially in central and western areas. China Post Group Corporation opened a green postal channel, through which medical kits and daily necessities donated by all sectors of the community could be delivered to impoverished mothers.
Since the launch of the project, all sectors of the community have engaged in the project, and lawyers donated actively. Total donation from Beijing lawyers has reached 233,900 yuan, 57,000 yuan of which was from DeHeng Law Offices. DeHeng Chairman Wang Li, Partner Liu Zhenguo, Chen Hongwu, Peter Wang, and Su Wenwei donated 10,000 yuan individually.
Those who attended the meeting included Ms. Qin Guoying, Secretary-General of China Women’s Development Foundation, Ms. Zhang Wei, Vice-President of Beijing Lawyers Association, and representatives of law offices from various areas in Beijing.
In the ceremony, on behalf of Beijing Lawyers Association, Ms. Zhang Wei handed over donations collected from lawyers in Beijing to China Women’s Development Foundation, whose leaders meanwhile awarded donation certificates to DeHeng Law Offices and lawyers associations from various areas in Beijing.
