On April 21, 2025, the Supreme People’s Court held a press conference to release the “Status of Judicial Protection of Intellectual Property by Chinese Courts (2024)” and eight typical intellectual property (IP) cases from 2024, and answered questions from the press. A case handled by lawyer Wang Yun from DeHeng’s Lanzhou Office on trademark infringement and unfair competition involving Ren X Real Estate (Chengdu) Co., Ltd., Shanghai Ren X Real Estate Co., Ltd., Nanjing Ren X Enterprise Management Co., Ltd., and Singapore Ren X Holdings Co., Ltd. and Lanzhou Ren X Real Estate Co., Ltd., was selected. This case serves as a model for accurately combating malicious trademark infringement in the real estate sector and has typical significance in setting a benchmark for IP protection.
