DeHeng Zhengzhou Assisted “UU Paotui” in Winning a Case Against Unfair Competition at Supreme People’s Court

After going through the first instance and the second instance, the case of Zhengzhou Spacetime Tunnel Information Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “UU Paotui”) against Hu XX and the four companies he controlled for trademark infringement and unfair competition, represented by lawyers Yang Yaya and Dai Chuntao from DeHeng Law Offices (Zhengzhou), recently achieved a comprehensive victory in a retrial review by the Supreme People’s Court. The court ordered the defendants to compensate for economic losses of RMB 1.5 million and reasonable expenses of RMB 56,000 and recognized the mark  as “a mark with a certain influence.” This victory demonstrates the judiciary’s firm stance on protecting intellectual property rights and provides an important reference for similar enterprises seeking IPR protection.
