DeHeng Received LegalOne Merits “Exemplary” Ratings for Two Copyright Infringement Cases

On July 30, 2024, two copyright infringement cases represented and won by Lyu Chengwei of DeHeng’s Suzhou Office received LegalOne Merits “Exemplary” ratings from the international rating agency.

Of these two cases, one involved open-source license agreements and was selected by the Intellectual Property Court of the Supreme People’s Court as one of the top 100 typical cases to mark its fifth anniversary and was selected into the People’s Court Case database. In the other case, Lyu successfully represented a client in two interconnected cases involving text copyright infringement, covering first-instance, second-instance, retrial, and enforcement proceedings. The total awarded compensation exceeded RMB 5.8 million, a high amount for similar cases.
