DeHeng Lawyers Successfully Concluded the Second Instance of the Labor Dispute Series against FCB Group

Recently DeHeng lawyers received the last judgment of the Shenzhen Intermediate People's Court on the series of labor dispute cases against FCB Group Co., Ltd. The second-instance judgment revoked the civil judgment of the People's Court of Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone and upheld FCB's appeal request, concluding the series of labor dispute cases represented by DeHeng lawyers.
FCB Group is a real estate sales agency under Evergrande Group. In 2021, due to the policy shock to the real estate industry, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the Evergrande debt crisis, FCB was struggling in operation. And 552 of its employees filed for labor arbitration, demanding payment of wages, bonuses, compensation, etc., totaling more than RMB 32 million. After hearing the ruling, the Shenzhen Labor and Personnel Arbitration Commission rejected most of the employees' claims, and only supported them with more than RMB 900,000.
Dissatisfied with the ruling, the employees brought the case to the People's Court of the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone. Although FCB won overwhelmingly in the arbitration case, it failed to pay the lawyer's fees for the arbitration, so DeHeng lawyers did not represent the first instance according to the contract. FCB had to ask its own employees to appear in court to answer the lawsuit. The first-instance judgment upheld most of the plaintiffs' claims.
FCB appealed to the Shenzhen Intermediate People's Court, and asked DeHeng lawyers to represent it in the second instance and promised to pay the outstanding legal fees for the arbitration. DeHeng lawyers represented it in the second instance and changed the judgment to its favor.
Representing FCB, the DeHeng team was led by lawyer Liao Mingzong, with primary support from lawyers Lyu Jing and Qin Xinyuan. The final judgement of the case proved the value of lawyers and the professionalism of DeHeng lawyers.
