DeHeng Lawyer Re-appointed as Member of
the Fourth National Intellectual Property Expert Advisory Committee

On September 15, 2020, the 4th National Intellectual Property Expert Advisory Committee was established in Beijing. Mr. Tao Xinliang, partner of DeHeng Shanghai Office, was re-appointed as a committee member. Mr. Tao has been the members of the First, Second and Third National Intellectual Property Expert Advisory Committees, and has actively contributed to the activities thereof since 2010.

The Fourth Committee is composed of 55 experts from research institutes, institutions of higher education, central and local government departments, major enterprises, and intellectual property service industries, among whom 10 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering are included.

Mr. Shen Changyu, head of the State Intellectual Property Office, issued letters of appointment to all committee members at the inauguration. Later, the Committee held an advanced seminar where the committee members had in-depth discussions on the hot and challenging issues concerning the protection of intellectual property during the 14th Five-Year Plan, and shared their insights into how to promote intellectual property exchanges between China and the world.
Mr. Tao has been engaged in the teaching, research and legal services on intellectual property for 36 years, and has practiced law in relevant fields for 28 years. He has once served as the deputy director and member of the First to Sixth Shanghai Intellectual Property Expert Advisory Committee, and sat on the Expert Advisory Committees of Shenzhen, Yunnan Province, Chengdu and other provinces and/or cities.
