on Legal Counsel Overseas of China Federation
of Returned Overseas Chinese

Legal Counsel Overseas of China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese was set up in Beijing a few days ago. Shi Renlin, DeHeng lawyer in Paris, and other lawyers from eight countries and regions, totally 23 overseas Chinese lawyers, accepted the letter of appointment from the Legal Counsel Overseas of China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese at the Convention Center of the National People's Congress.

China Federation of Returned Overseas Legal Committee was established in 1982. So far, it has dealt with nearly 1500 cases, of which more than 100 cases with large impact. There are more than 2000 full-time or part-time staff in Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese to assist and safeguard the rights and interests of overseas Chinese and returned overseas Chinese.

President of the Federation Lin Jun pointed out that the establishment of overseas lawyers indicates that the force of the Federation would be further strengthened, and it is of great significance to provide further legal advisory services to overseas Chinese, to safeguard the legitimate rights of overseas Chinese, and to promote exchanges and cooperation among the lawyers at home and abroad. It will certainly bring opportunities for the Federation to expand overseas.
