DeHeng Lawyer Named Among 2020 ALB China Top 15 Litigators

On February 20, 2020, Wang Junqi, Executive Director of DeHeng Shanghai Law Office, was listed on 2020 Asian Legal Business ("ALB") China Top 15 Litigators for his rich experience and outstanding performance.
Mr. Wang Junqi is the Executive Director and Partner of DeHeng Law Office in Shanghai, and concurrently serves as an arbitrator of Shanghai International Arbitration Center and Shanghai Arbitration Commission. Mr. Wang achieves his Master of Law Degree from Fudan University, and was a visiting scholar of Columbia University. He obtained the qualification to practice law in China in 1999, and has been practicing law as an attorney for 16 years. He is now a senior legal practitioner specializing in commercial dispute resolution. He also serves as Secretary-General of the BnR International Commercial Mediation Center (Yangtze River Delta Office), endeavoring to establish a more systematic commercial mediation mechanism and to contribute to a diversified dispute settlement initiative advocated by the country.
In recent years, Mr. Wang Junqi has represented a series of complicated and high-profile cases. For example, he represented the controlling shareholder of a world-leading chemical enterprise group to handle a series of equity disputes that span a decade with the nominee shareholder and the dissenting shareholder, with the amount of dispute exceeding RMB 4 billion. He represented a Chinese company as claimant before China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Center for arbitration over an international sales agreement against an Austrian company, and the arbitration award was one of the few that was fully executed via New York Convention by the European Court shortly after the winning-party's unilateral application. He has also represented a domestic listed company in nearly 50 cases, with the amount totaling RMB 6 billion, and another listed company in China in a series of securities misrepresentation actions, which are the first-class actions over misrepresentation compensation liability involving ST, *ST, suspension of listing and voluntary delisting, and the second case tried by Shanghai Financial Court under the demonstration case system.
